The Army Wales Festival of Music
On Saturday June 2nd 2018, The Army in Wales held their 3rd annual Military Music Festival. In 2018, The Band of HM Royal Marines Commando Training Center, The Band and Bugles of the Rifles, The Band of the Adjudnat Generals Corps, The Band of the Prince of Wales's Division, The Regimental Band and Corps of Drums of the Royal Welsh, The Band of the King's Division and The Pipes and Drums from the Second Battalion Royal Irish Regiment all took part in he event.
The event this year, coincided with the VOLVO Ocean Race, which was currently in Cardiff Bay at the time. Bands took turns playing in and around the race village before combining for a Massed Bands spectacular, complete with live cannon fire for the 1812 Overture, courtesy of 104 Regiment Royal Artillery, on the Roald Dahl Plass.
