A Rehearsal of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo
The 2018 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo took place from Friday 3rd of August until Saturday 25th August.
These photos were taken on Wednesday 1st August during a full rehearsal for the show on the castle esplanade.
This year's event featured a cast of more than 1,200 and had the theme of 'The Sky's the Limit' and explored 'Potential Unleashed' and The Year of Young People in Scotland. The centenary of The Royal Air Force and The Czech Republic's Independence were both also celebrated during the 100 minute show produced by Brigadier David Alfrey and featuring Alasdair Hutton OBE as the storyteller, welcoming audiences from across the glove - like he has done for the last 27 years.
